A 7-day group Road trip that showcases the best and most diverse wildlife in all of Kenya. This photographers dream safari covers Samburu, which has breathtaking scenery and landscape but is also the only place to find the Grevy's Zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx and Gerenuk. Samburu is also a favorite spot for Leopards and Lions. Discover Lake Nakuru & its tree-climbing lions, as well as a very large Black and white Rhino population. Lake Nakuru is also home to thousands of pink flamingo. Experience a boat ride on Lake Naivasha a unique place amongst Hippos and over 450 different bird species including the African Fish Eagle. The tour finishes with 3 nights in Masai Mara which is one of the best parks in the world where you can spot the Big 5 and witness the Great Migration.

Day by Day

Depart for Samburu

Today you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by one of our safari representatives, who will give a briefing on your upcoming safari. After the briefing you will head north through an agricultural region that is rich with coffee, wheat and various other crops. You will cross the equator at Nanyuki and continue north before descending from the cool highlands into the wildlife rich savanna woodlands. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The Samburu is possibly one of the most scenic and wildest safari parks in Africa. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty here to attract animals from the surrounding savanna plains. The reserve is home to an abundance of rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa oryx (also referred to as the “Samburu Special Five") as well as all the main predators.

Morning & Afternoon Game Drive

We rise at 6am and enjoy early breakfast before heading out for our morning game drive in Samburu. The morning is the most ideal time for game viewing, as we search for the unique northern kenyan wildlife including the elusive leopards and lions along the way. Return to your lodge late morning for refreshment and then lunch. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure or relax by the pool. Mid to late afternoon we will go on another game drive early evening in search of the abundant wildlife at Samburu. You will encounter and learn more about the wildlife species roaming this reserve. We return to camp and hope to capture a true African Sunset on the way to end an an adventurous day.

Morning & Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, depart Samburu while enjoying a game drive en route to Lake Nakuru. You will make your way through the scenic Aberdare Ranges and the scenic Rift Valley escarpment before arriving at the Main gate of the Reserve. Enjoy a game drive before arriving for lunch and check in at the lodge. We then spend the afternoon exploring the beauty of one of Kenya's most visited parks. Nakuru is famous for it's lesser flamingo ( pink flamingo), tree climbing lions and one of the biggest Rhino populations in al of Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the beautiful Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Lake Naivasha Boat Safari & Afternoon Game Drive In the Mara

After early morning breakfast, we checkout then depart for Lake Naivasha. We will enjoy another game drive in Lake Nakuru national park as we head to Naivasha. Upon arrival, We'll take part in an exciting boat safari on the Freshwater Lake. You'll get to see hippos and different species of birds flying over the cool waters. The view is amazing, at some points you'll spot giraffes. Thereafter we'll embark on our 4-hour scenic drive to the world-famous Maasai Mara, arriving at our wonderful Lodge in time for lunch. After lunch and relaxation, we will head into the Maasai Mara for a late afternoon game drive. When the darkness starts creeping in, the predators are more active and engage in hunting. We will also get to enjoy the famous Mara sunset. Overnight is at Oldarpoi Mara Camp on Full Board Basis

Full Day In The Masai Mara

After breakfast, we have a full day game drive, with packed lunches provided. The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion, as well as its abundant resident wildlife and its one of the few places where it's possible to see the big five during a morning's game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one's vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including the Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.Dinner and overnight at Oldarpoi Mara Camp.

Full Day In The Masai Mara

After breakfast, we head to the Masai Mara for another full day game drive. We drive to one of the three Mara rivers hoping to see the wildebeest crossing which mostly occurs between July and late September. We will also stop to view and take photos of the Big Five we encounter. Masai Mara is rich in wildlife, including Hyena, elephants, giraffe, leopard, zebra and much, much more. We get to enjoy picnic lunch then continue with our epic game drive, viewing wildlife and enjoying nature all day long. Overnight is at Oldarpoi Mara Camp on Full Board Basis

Nairobi Departure

Guests will enjoy breakfast and thereafter depart for Nairobi arriving in early afternoon. You will have lunch (own arrangement) and later depending on your flight timings, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
